Pruvia builds commercial pyrolysis plant at Gendorf Chemical Park
The Gendorf Chemical Park is getting a new addition: the Fürth-based company Pruvia will build one of Europe’s largest thermochemical recycling plants at the Bavarian site from the summer. The investment in the plant will initially amount to “a mid double-digit million euro sum”, the chemical park operator, Infraserv Gendorf, and Pruvia announced yesterday. Commissioning is planned for the fourth quarter of 2026, when around 30 people will be employed at the new site. Once operational, the plant in Gendorf will be able to process 35,000 tons of plastic waste per year. Doubling the capacity to 70,000 tons is planned for 2028.
